Today, we're highlighting another feature designed for everyday life: Hangouts.
Whether you're attending a concert, enjoying a night out with friends, heading to a sporting event, exploring a theme park, or vacationing with family, Hangouts makes it easy for everyone to stay together, communicate, and look out for one another.
More than simple location sharing, Hangouts creates a temporary safety network around your group. Participants can view event details, communicate through the built-in group chat, receive alerts if someone unexpectedly leaves the designated area, and quickly locate one another if the group becomes separated.
Instead of constantly texting, making phone calls, or watching dots move across a map, Hangouts automatically keeps everyone informed, allowing your group to focus on enjoying the experience together.
Creating a Hangout takes just a few moments. Simply add:
• A Hangout name
• Date and time
• Duration
• Invited participants
• A location using either an address or a geofence
• A customizable safety zone around the location
Once your Hangout begins, participants can:
• View the group's location
• Chat through the built-in group chat
• Receive alerts if someone leaves the designated area
• Quickly see where group members are if they become separated
• Set up automated mindful suggestions for everyone to have a safe night
Everyone can enjoy the event knowing the group is automatically kept informed if someone becomes separated or leaves the designated area.
Imagine you're attending a concert with several friends.
The venue is crowded, people are constantly moving around, and it's easy for someone to get separated while visiting the restroom, grabbing food, or stepping away for a few minutes.
If someone leaves the designated Hangout area, everyone in the group is automatically notified. If someone becomes separated, the group can quickly see where they are without sending multiple text messages or making phone calls.
The result is better awareness, faster communication, and greater confidence that everyone is safe.
The same benefits apply at festivals, sporting events, vacations, theme parks, college gatherings, hiking trips, shopping outings, or simply a night out with friends.
When the event ends, SAFEhugg continues working for you.
If participants are traveling home separately, anyone can quickly create a Trip directly from the Hangout to share their journey with their Guardians.
The group stays connected throughout the event, and loved ones can continue following each person's trip home until they arrive safely.
It's another example of how SAFEhugg's safety features work together to provide continuous support wherever life takes you.
